- Relates to what is occurring and puts it to use (ex: how to make Mommy stay)
- Tests parents’ responses to behavior
- Attachment begins
- Shy or anxious around strangers
9 to 12 Month Social/Emotional Milestones
Extends arm or leg to help when being dressed- Attachment may wax and wane, but still strongly there
